About us
The Family Works project is a replication of the Yeovil4Family model which was originally set up by churches in Yeovil over ten years ago and has seen real success in transforming family life within the town and beyond.
The Family Works is a family support programme developed by a local church that works with families in South Yorkshire. The Family Works offer time, encouragement and support for the whole family through trained people who want to walk the journey with you.
How did we start?
The Family Works was developed with the support of St John’s Owlerton, who long to see the tide of family breakdown turned in our communities.
Who are we?
The Family Works is made up of volunteer Family Mentors from the local community who build encouraging and positive relationships with families.
This amazing work is supported by a staff team of dedicated Link Workers who ‘walk’ families through support with other agencies or networks.
Our board of Trustees provide strategic support and advice for our leadership team, holding them accountable for realising the mission and vision of The Family Works.
Who do we work with?
The Family Works will work with any family where there are children aged 0-18 years and where the family feels they need just a little bit of help to move their lives forward.
